This is a new nib from Leonardt and is closely based on the Principality No.1 vintage nib, which is now very rare.
Extra fine point and very smooth reaction. Highly elastic and a high ink capacity. A special pen holder is required because of the shape and size of the nib.
The construction of the Brause 361 (shorthand nib) is similar to the Hiro 40 nib and makes it very flexible. Smooth gliding and durable. Only a medium pressure required to produce bold swells.
The Hunt 22B Extra Fine nib can be used on slightly textured paper. Produces similar results to the Gillott 303 but requires more pressure.
The Hunt 56 School Pen is similar to the Gillott 404 in flexibility and results.
The Hunt 99 Drawing Pen has medium flexibility. Not as sharp as the Hunt 101. Requires less pressure than many of the other pointed nibs. Smooth gliding. Can produce bold text.
The Hunt 100 Artist Pen is a fragile nib requiring a light touch. Less flexible than the Hunt 103.
The Hunt 101 Imperial Pen has a large point. Can be used on a slightly textured surface as well as smooth surfaces. Very flexible.
The Crow Quill has a tubular shaft. Smaller and less flexible than a Hunt 108. Popular art pen. A special pen holder is required for this nibPeople who bought this item also bought:
The Hunt 103 Mapping Pen is sharply pointed and delicate. A light touch is required.
The Hunt 108 Flexible Quill is a small nib with a tubular shaft. Not suitable for textured papers.
The Gillott 170 nib is smaller than the Gillott 404 and 303 nibs. It is very flexible and smooth, capable of producing thick swells.
Small and very delicate. Produces very fine hair lines and can be used for touching up work. Can easily be damaged.
Similar to the Gillott 290 but slightly stronger and more durable.
The Gillott 303 nib is probably the most commonly used nib for Copperplate. It is sharply pointed and flexible. Produces elegant hairlines.
Gillott drawing pens are used for copperplate writing by both professionals and beginners.
The Gillott 1068A Rigid nib is very stiff requiring more pressure. Less contrast between hairlines and swells.
